Arriving to Galápagos
Remember that you have to pay income tax to the National Park $ 100, and $ 50 if you belong to Mercosur, bring with you cash.
To reach to the hotel from the BALTRA AIRPORT you can hire a transfer and we will help you with anything you could need or at the airport after collecting our luggage you will find a bus that has a sign that says “CANAL”, this bus will take you until Itabaca channel where you have to take a small boat, you cross from Baltra to Santa Cruz Island. At this point you will find some white trucks, for $ 25 they bring you to Puerto Ayora where is “El Castillo” or there are few buses that cost around $ 3 and are a good option too.
All of the white trucks are taxis and cost $ 1,50 per race in Puerto Ayora
If you arrive at the SAN CRISTOBAL AIRPORT you will find some speedboats they bring you for $ 30 from San Cristobal to Santa Cruz, then had a white truck, taxi, and for $ 1,50 they bring you to the “El Castillo”.
- We recommend you bring a camera, water bottle, sunscreen, swimsuit, comfortable shoes and always wear a cap or hat.
- Santa Cruz and San Cristobal Islands are the only ones that have ATM machines, and only in some places accept credit cards, you should always carry cash.
- We are located just minutes from downtown, we offer free use of the hotel’s bikes or you will find taxis in the city which are distinguished by white trucks who charge $1,50 to anywhere in Puerto Ayora.
- Galapagos weather is variable, bring raincoat for use in case of rain
At the Galapagos Islands are many activities to do and places to visit our most important recommendation is to bring a lot of energy to start this wonderful adventure in one of the most beautiful paradises!!
